Job Description

About the Role

Build the interfaces that help enterprises deploy, monitor, and manage AI operational systems. You'll own the Agent Builder, Workflow Visualizer, and observability dashboards.

As part of the Zaby Engineering team, you will be at the forefront of the autonomous enterprise revolution. We are building the critical infrastructure that allows AI agents to move beyond static interaction and into reliable, persistent execution within complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Develop complex React-based interfaces for agent orchestration and workflow visualization.

Architect scalable frontend state management systems for real-time agent monitoring.

Collaborate with Designers to implement a high-fidelity, accessible design system.

Optimize frontend performance for data-intensive observability dashboards.

Implement robust testing strategies for critical enterprise-facing UI components.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in frontend engineering with React and TypeScript.

Deep understanding of modern CSS, Tailwind, and animation libraries (Framer Motion).

Experience building complex data visualizations (D3.js, Canvas, or SVG).

Strong background in architecting large-scale frontend applications.

Passion for creating polished, high-performance user experiences.

Bonus Points

Experience with Next.js and Server Components.

Prior experience in B2B SaaS or developer tools.

A strong eye for design and interaction detail.

๐ŸŽฏ Who is this job for?

This role is suitable for a Senior Frontend Engineer with 5+ years of experience building large-scale React and TypeScript applications. The candidate should have strong skills in modern CSS, Tailwind, Framer Motion, frontend architecture, state management, accessibility, performance optimization, and testing, with experience in D3.js, Canvas, or SVG visualizations. They should be familiar with developing complex workflow and agent interfaces, real-time monitoring systems, data-intensive dashboards, design systems, and polished enterprise or B2B SaaS user experiences.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Potential Interview Questions

How would you architect state management for a React application that monitors real-time agent execution?

I would separate server state, UI state, and transient streaming state using tools such as React Query, a focused state store, and WebSockets or Server-Sent Events. Updates should be normalized, selectively subscribed to, and resilient to reconnections and out-of-order events.

How would you design a scalable workflow visualizer for complex agent orchestration?

I would model workflows as a graph of typed nodes and edges, with clear separation between domain data, layout, and rendering. For large workflows, I would use memoized components, viewport virtualization, incremental layout, and Canvas or optimized SVG rendering where appropriate.

What techniques would you use to optimize a data-intensive observability dashboard?

I would profile rendering and network costs, virtualize long lists, aggregate or downsample time-series data, and avoid unnecessary React updates through memoization and stable references. Web Workers can move expensive parsing or calculations off the main thread.

How would you implement real-time updates without causing excessive re-renders?

I would buffer or batch incoming events, normalize them in a centralized store, and subscribe components only to the specific slices they need. For high-frequency metrics, I would throttle visual updates while retaining accurate underlying data.

How would you build an accessible design system using React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Framer Motion?

I would create strongly typed, composable primitives with consistent tokens for spacing, color, typography, and states. Components would use semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, focus management, reduced-motion preferences, and automated accessibility testing.

When would you choose SVG, Canvas, or D3.js for a workflow or monitoring visualization?

SVG is useful for interactive diagrams with a moderate number of elements, while Canvas is better for very large or frequently updated datasets. D3.js is valuable for scales, layouts, and data transformations, but I would avoid coupling its DOM management directly to React.

How would you structure a large React and TypeScript frontend to remain maintainable?

I would organize the application around domain or feature boundaries, with explicit public interfaces between modules. Shared UI, API clients, types, and utilities should remain stable and independent from feature-specific business logic.

How would you test a critical agent-builder interface?

I would combine unit tests for state transitions and utilities, component tests for interactions and accessibility, and end-to-end tests for workflows such as creating, editing, validating, and deploying an agent. Real-time behavior should also be tested with deterministic mocked event streams.

What considerations are important when using Next.js Server Components in an enterprise dashboard?

Server Components can reduce client-side JavaScript and efficiently load initial data, while interactive editors, visualizations, and live monitoring remain Client Components. I would define clear server-client boundaries and handle authentication, caching, streaming, and hydration carefully.

How would you implement smooth animations for workflow execution without harming performance?

I would animate transform and opacity properties rather than layout-heavy properties and use Framer Motion with stable component keys and controlled update frequency. Animations should communicate state changes clearly, respect reduced-motion settings, and degrade gracefully on lower-powered devices.

๐Ÿ“‹ Job Summary
