馃幆 Who is this job for?

This role is best suited for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with 8+ years of experience building enterprise web applications, particularly in healthcare or other regulated environments. The candidate should be proficient in Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, Angular, AWS, PostgreSQL, CI/CD, Jenkins, unit testing, observability tools, relational databases, and cloud-native development, with FHIR and AI/ML experience being a plus. They should be familiar with developing scalable full-stack applications, optimizing database performance, implementing automated testing and deployment pipelines, monitoring production systems, and working within secure, compliance-driven environments.

馃挰 Potential Interview Questions

  1. How would you design a scalable REST API using Spring Boot for a large healthcare case management system?
Answer: I would follow a layered architecture, keep services stateless, implement proper validation and exception handling, secure endpoints with Spring Security, and optimize performance using caching, pagination, and asynchronous processing where appropriate.

  2. What are the benefits of using Spring Boot in enterprise applications?
Answer: Spring Boot simplifies configuration, provides embedded servers, supports dependency injection, integrates easily with databases and security frameworks, and enables rapid development of production-ready microservices.

  3. How do you optimize PostgreSQL queries when application performance starts degrading?
Answer: I use EXPLAIN ANALYZE to identify bottlenecks, optimize indexes, reduce unnecessary joins, rewrite inefficient queries, and monitor execution plans to ensure improvements under production workloads.

  4. How would you structure a large Angular application to keep it maintainable?
Answer: I organize the application by feature modules, use shared and core modules for reusable functionality, implement strongly typed services with TypeScript, leverage RxJS for reactive state management, and follow Angular style guide best practices.

  5. How do you implement automated testing in a Java/Spring Boot application?
Answer: I write unit tests with JUnit and Mockito, integration tests using Spring Boot Test, mock external dependencies, and include automated execution in the CI/CD pipeline to prevent regressions.

  6. Describe your experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Answer: I have configured Jenkins pipelines to automate builds, run unit and integration tests, perform static code analysis, package applications, and deploy to different environments with minimal manual intervention.

  7. How would you monitor and troubleshoot a production issue using New Relic, CloudWatch, or Splunk?
Answer: I would analyze application metrics, logs, traces, and alerts to identify the root cause, correlate failures across services, verify infrastructure health, and implement fixes while monitoring system recovery.

  8. What AWS services would you typically use for a cloud-native Spring Boot application?
Answer: Common services include EC2 or ECS for compute, RDS PostgreSQL for relational data, S3 for object storage, CloudWatch for monitoring, IAM for security, Secrets Manager for credentials, and ALB for load balancing.

  9. What is FHIR, and why is it important in healthcare applications?
Answer: FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is a healthcare interoperability standard that enables secure exchange of clinical data between healthcare systems through standardized RESTful APIs and resource models.

  10. How would you ensure security and compliance when building healthcare software handling sensitive patient data?
Answer: I would implement strong authentication and authorization, encrypt data in transit and at rest, apply least-privilege access, maintain audit logs, validate all inputs, and follow HIPAA and organizational security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
