π― Who is this job for?
This is a mid-level full-stack role focused on React, Node.js, and TypeScript, where you’ll build both frontend interfaces and backend APIs, work with AWS and databases, and occasionally handle legacy PHP code; it’s a solid, practical position for someone with ~3–5 years of experience looking for stable remote work and real product impact, though it’s less focused on advanced architecture, cutting-edge UI, or AI-driven development.
π¬ Potential Interview Questions
-
How would you design a scalable full-stack system for a high-load endpoint management platform?
I would design a service-oriented architecture with scalable APIs, efficient database access, and asynchronous processing for heavy tasks. Leveraging cloud services like AWS ensures high availability and horizontal scalability. -
How do you design and implement REST APIs for systems with many endpoints?
I structure APIs with clear resource-based endpoints, consistent naming, and proper versioning. Strong validation, pagination, and error handling ensure reliability and maintainability. -
How do you optimize performance in a high-load Node.js application?
I reduce blocking operations, use asynchronous patterns, implement caching, and optimize database queries. Monitoring and profiling help identify bottlenecks and guide improvements. -
What is your approach to handling both modern and legacy code (e.g., PHP)?
I isolate legacy components behind stable interfaces and gradually refactor them where possible. This allows improvements without disrupting existing functionality. -
How do you ensure code quality across both frontend and backend systems?
I enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and write unit and integration tests. Automated pipelines help maintain consistency and prevent regressions. -
How do you work with databases like MySQL and DynamoDB in a scalable system?
I design schemas based on access patterns, optimize queries, and use indexing effectively. For NoSQL, I focus on partitioning strategies and efficient key design. -
How do you structure a React frontend for a complex product interface?
I organize code into reusable components and feature modules, separating UI from business logic. This improves maintainability and scalability. -
How do you approach testing in a full-stack application?
I write unit tests for logic, integration tests for APIs, and end-to-end tests for critical workflows. This ensures confidence across the entire system. -
How do you leverage AWS services like Lambda and EC2 in application design?
I use Lambda for event-driven or serverless tasks and EC2 for long-running services. Choosing the right service helps balance cost, scalability, and performance. -
How do you handle debugging and incident resolution in production systems?
I analyze logs, monitor system metrics, and trace requests across services to identify root causes. Quick fixes combined with long-term improvements help maintain system stability.
